Collective Haul- Garage, Dynamite, American Eagle, and Old Navy

I have been slacking on the blog posts of late, I am not as motivated to post anything because I have no idea what to post about. I shop a lot so I might as well share with you the things I purchased within the last two months. So in my blog, be prepared to see a million posts of hauls. I am not sure if I shop to the point that it has become a problem but I only buy stuff when its on major discount. I never buy anything for full price, it feels so wrong to do so. No matter how much I love it, I would always wait until it is at the lowest price. Generally I buy stuff in the off season to get the best deals, such as buying sweaters when its spring because stores would be getting rid of them to put out the new merchandise. I do most of my shopping online because I never try on clothes in stores anyways. Plus I shop through Ebates and I usually get a certain percentage cash back so really I am saving more then I would buying at the store.
At Garage I got more stuff then is shown but they are going to be returned, I feel like the sizing at garage got bigger, a size s doesn't fit the same as I remembered. The sweater shown is an over-sized fit that I can wear with leggings and some tall boots for the fall! The two scarves are from Dynamite, which is like a grown up version of Garage. They have classic pieces appropriate for professional jobs. I am in love with the coral salmon color for the summer, I am on the lookout for a bag in this hue. The scarves were both around  $5 since Ebates has 15% cash back for Dynamite.
I got a swimsuit at American eagle since they had additional 60% off of clearance items. Plus I was on the hunt for a swim suit since I have plans to go to the Water park this summer. I really like the colors and pattern of the top, it also matches well with the basic bottoms. The top was $8 and the bottoms were around $6. Now I just need to workout at the gym to get in shape, haha. I always wanted a pair of combat boots since they were all the rage last year. I found a pair while browsing American eagle online, they were $25 if I can remember correctly, or it might have been less. The crochet details look even better in person, I know I'll get my wear out of them. The only thing that sucks about shopping online at American eagle is you have to pay duties.
So I got a gym membership in May so I am super motivated to workout but I needed some workout clothes so I can look cute while sweating it out. Old Navy had a really good sale on active wear, I picked up a pair of shorts for $6 and both the yoga legging/capris for $12. The sports bra was $10, I like the material of it since its thick but breathable. I haven't worn any of these to the gym yet because I haven't washed them yet.
The frugal side of me is that I always go to the clearance section, Old Navy had some major discounts on sweaters so I had to grab a few before they sell out. The navy rope inspired sweater was cheaper then the price on the tag, it was $1.50. The Ahoy sweater was a good price too at around $4, the mint colored sweater and the beige one were both $7. I love Old Navy for basic pieces that I can dress up with accessories for the fall time. The sweaters are light weighted enough to wear in the summer night weather when it gets chilly too.

I also wanted to share some random pieces I bought from some Asian website similar to Ebay. I can't remember the price of the items but I know the dresses were around $11 or $12. The Minnie mouse and Hello Kitty shirts were like $5 each. I plan to wear them to work out in since the sleeves almost resemble a muscle tee.
Look forward to another haul post next week since I just placed an order for Garage/Dynamite because they have such good deals for Canada Day.

Random talk and fave lipstick at the moment

I can't believe another month has past, school will be over in 2 months! There's so much to do over the break, I wish I could go on vacation this year. Perhaps to somewhere close? For sure I want to get my drivers license, thats at the top of my list. I need more motivation to start jogging, I've put on weight during this winter so I need to get back into shape (not like I was ever in shape aha). I'm also in need of a hair cut, not too sure what I want to do but I know mid length hair will be cute. Lee hyori looks really pretty with shoulder length hair, mad jealous! I can't decide how I want to cut my bangs, I want them to be side swept but then I also want to be able to pull it to the front. My hair has gotten so dry from dying my hair and my hair has grown out so much, its starting to fall all over the carpet. Drives my parents crazy to see the floor with my hair everywhere.
Doesn't she look so classy?
I remember when I was younger, I use to cry every time I cut my hair short. Personally I think I look better with longer locks, but change is alway's good too. Though I am worried my shorter hair might turn out horrible since I never have any luck with the hairdresser.
Nana from Afterschool
Tiffany from SNSD
Don't think my hair will ever be as beautiful as Tiffany's or Nana's, but then again I don't have a hair stylist waiting on me like they do. These kind of pictures makes me not want to chop off my hair..but hair will grow back so I shouldn't be freaking out over nothing.
I'm a lip products junkie, everything from glosses to stains I love. I recently purchased this lip butter in "lollipop" which is a berry pink with glitter particles. When applied on the lips, it feels very smooth and moisturizing. The color is buildable for a heavier coverage, but I like to keep it subtle so a sheer ply is enough for a long day of Uni. I don't notice the sparkles on my lips, it just blends in with the color. I will need to look into the other colors once it goes on sale! "Tutti frutti" looks very fresh, orange lip colors brightens up the skintone and suits my pale complexion. I also saw new shades come out that I want to check out.

Revlon colorburst lip butter in Lollipop

The colour is applied sheer on my lips, but you can apply more coats for a deeper color!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

~~Bags I'm lusting for~~

I have an obsession for bags and shoes, I think they make or break an outfit. I have a few high end and low end bags I've been eyeing to share. The higher end bags I won't be able to purchase since I'm just a student and I can't justify paying $300+ for a bag. Though I think a high end bag can be a form of investment, a classic piece that will go with everything. I tend to like more structured bags, they are more formal and dress up a casual outfit. Slouchy bags add an relaxed dimension that is more suitable to use everyday to run errands or hanging out. I want to branch out of the typical neutral bags and find a bolder hue for the upcoming season. Out of all the bags, I have to say the Michael Kors is so me, the color to the shape is everything I want in a bag. The price tag is the issue, hopefully I can find a cheaper dupe of this bag for a fraction of the cost.
Rebecca Minkoff "Amourous" satchel
I like this blue shade, it's not too deep like Cobalt but an in between shade. I can see this paired up with yellow accents like a blouse or a skirt.
Michael Kors "Dressy-Large" tote
My dream bag! I adore this magenta shade for the spring and the option of it being worn crossbody. The size is pretty big to be using on a everyday basis but I love roomy bags in general. This bag will work great for traveling or just a day of hanging with friends!
Downtown Culture Bag
A taupe bag is a classic piece every girl should have alternative to the typical black bag. I think this lighter shade is perfect for the warmer months and will look great with any outfit. I love the zipper details since I like to throw lipsticks and hand sanitizer or any small items I need easy access to.
Large Classic Quilted Purse
This bag is a good size for those days when you don't have a lot to carry around. The quilted pattern is chic and the chain crossbody adds a rustic look. It will look great when worn with dresses and skirts for a feminine flair!
Blue Pyramid Stud Handbag

The studs around the bag is on trend, edgy but still girly because of the cloudy blue color. I especially like the handles, they are sturdy and give the bag a structured shape without being overly conservative.
Enjoy the rest of your Thursday, must get back to studying before I procrastinate again, ah the life of a Uni student.

Wet n wild balm stain review

Today I will be reviewing the Wet n wild megalast balm stain for you guys, I purchased mine from well.ca which is basically like an online drugstore. I haven't seen these balm stains in-stores so I'm not sure if Canada even has them yet. We tend to get new releases later than the US and at much higher prices which is unfortunate but sometimes its worth the price difference. I picked up two colors, Pinky Promise( a frosty pink) and A Stiff Pink( hot pink). Well.ca didn't have the complete color range, but these two seemed like the ones I'd wear the most than the nude and red colors. The price I paid was $3.99 each which is about double the price sold in the US. I personally am alright with the price since the only balm stain I've seen is by Revlon and they cost between $7-$10.
Top: A Stiff Pink
Bottom: Pinky Promise
Left: A Stiff Pink
Right: Pinky Promise
I think this color will look really pretty for the spring/summer
feathered a bit on my inner lip
Pinky Promise is too frosty for my taste
Out of the two, my favorite is A Stiff Pink since Pinky Promise made my lips look more of a brown frosty color that washed me out. They apply really nice on the lips and are opaque after one coat. The formula is moisturizing but I tend to apply my rose salve before using any lip colors anyways. The finish of the stains are glossy but not shiny except for the Pinky Promise which I wasn't a fan of. The frost finish didn't do any justice for my lips, the color wasn't anything special either. I wouldn't recommend this shade, but I think if you use it over a more pigmented lipstick as a gloss it can be quite pretty. When worn alone, it just made the lines in my lip more visible since the color payoff was muted. A Stiff Pink is the perfect color, brightens up my skin when I wear it and makes my teeth look whiter! I've been on the search for a hot pink lipstick and this balm stain is a winner. When I was taking off the color, it left a rosy stain that didn't wash off. I think this shade is a bit bold for everyday wear but I definitely think it will look amazing for the spring. Check these affordable lip stains at your local drugstore! I hope these are at my local walmart in the near future, I have my eye on rico mauve which looks like the my lips but better shade! Have a Happy Wednesday!

JOLSE HAUL

I made my first order at Jolse and it has finally arrived. Love receiving packages, except maybe that might mean I have a online shopping problem. Jolse sells a lot of Korean brand cosmetics/skincare such as Etude house, innisfree, holika holika, and Tony Moly etc. They have pretty good sales, but all the prices are in USD so once the prices are converted to CAD it will be higher then the price on the website. I can still remember when we use to be on par 1 CAD = 1 USD, well those day's are gone so I'm stuck paying the higher prices. Hopefully the products will work amazing on my sensitive skin, since I usually have better luck with asian skincare products. Lately I've been on a kick to try new skincare products, my face has gotten pretty blotchy and dull from the cold winter. I did some research on the products I got before I purchased them and they were well loved by other bloggers. So I wanted to test them out myself since everyone's skin will react differently to each product. I will also be doing reviews on some of the products,  but I need to test them out for a month or so before I can really give my thoughts. The link to the website is Here if you want to check it out. I definitely recommend them, they offer free shipping and you get money back (credits) from your purchases to spend on your next order. They also give loads of samples which is always nice before buying a product your unsure about. I will be purchasing on this site again, maybe when the seasons change, I'll have to grab a few spring appropriate items!
Goodies I got!
samples, It depends on how much you spend as well.
Innisfree wine peeling jelly softener(180 ml)
AC Clinic Intense set: Red spot balm(20 ml) & acne foam cleanser(30 ml)
Etude house collagen moistfull cream(60 ml) and first essence(20 ml)
Purebess snail gel(50 g)
Etude house Ceramic massager, goodbye to my chubby cheeks.
Etude house nymph aura volumer #3, dewy glowing skin here I come!
Etude house cotton puff
I've tried the Etude house collagen mositfull set, Purebess snail gel and the Etude house AC clinic cleanser. My first impressions on using these products is satisfied. I can't say I see any results from using these products just once, so I will keep you guys updated in a few months time. I really like the feeling of the snail gel, and it contains 90% snail filtrate, so i'm thinking its packed with lots of healing properties. I was interested in trying snail gel once I read other bloggers achieving flawless skin after using it. I couldn't find anything on this particular brand but I think it calmed the redness on my face overnight. The collagen cream is really nice, smells good too! The texture is light and not greasy, plus it absorbs into my skin really quick! The essence i'm not too fond of because it was sticky but i'll probably get use to it. I think the cleanser lathers nicely, I like using foaming cleansers just because it makes my face feel cleaner and tighter. I still need to use it more before I can say I noticed any decrease in pimples, but the herbal smell is a bit unpleasant. I think the balm in the set has the same smell. So most likely i'll be using it as an overnight treatment only. I have to say the morning after, I noticed my face was less inflamed with redness and smoother. Not sure if using them all together will make it more effective but I start with a toner>essence>snail gel>collagen cream. I probably could do without the essence but I just want to use it up. Overall I am really happy with the products, if only I could fly to korea and shop at cheaper prices aha. Look forward to reviews soon!

Mini haul~~~Forever 21~~~

Hey guys, I did a little shopping after class today, can't seem to say no to some retail therapy. I ended up not liking any clothes, so I decided to pick up some fun jewelry to prepare for spring. I'm super excited for rainy weather and being able to see the grass again. I hope we get an early spring this year, my spring/summer wardrobe is waiting for me to take them out of all the boxes I put away since Canada winters are not very forgiving. Been wearing yoga pants and sweaters everyday, rather be comfy and cozy when it's -30 degrees out. Enough of this ramble and on with the haul:
I just noticed the rhinestone pearl earrings on the right has a missing stone on one of the earrings. Ugh can't believe I didn't see that in-stores.
close up of the necklace
I couldn't stop looking at the necklace, spent quite awhile debating if I wanted it or not but the ombre shades of blue was too pretty to not get it. I have no idea when I'll wear this or where too but the color will look great with white (I love wearing white) so I can justify buying it. I love wearing stud earrings on a daily basis so I wanted some cute ones. I'm really liking yellow this season so the flower earrings were calling for me to buy them, I think they will go with any outfit. I must say Forever 21 has decent prices for jewelry that are on trend and good quality! I'll probably be checking for new wardrobe pieces or accessories to add to my wardrobe when it gets closer to spring! I've been wanting to buy a bright bag, so hopefully Forever 21 will have some in stock in the later months. Hope everyone is having a nice Monday!
